Privacy

I believe privacy is a basic right, and I hold myself accountable for not collecting or processing your data. This policy covers every app I make and publish on the App Store.

What they collect

Nothing.

None of my apps collect any data about you. There is no account to create and no sign-in. There is no analytics, no tracking and no reporting of any kind. Nothing you do in any of my apps is sent anywhere, and I receive nothing about you or your device.

The only thing I ever see is what beta testers send me directly and voluntarily, such as feedback or a bug report, to help me improve the app. That comes from you choosing to write to me. It is never collected by the app itself.

What Apple collects

My apps are distributed through Apple's App Store, and Apple collects its own data about downloads, purchases and App Store activity. That happens between you and Apple, under Apple's privacy policy rather than this one. It is not something I ask for, and it is not something I control.

KetoGen

KetoGen keeps everything on your iPhone. There is no account, no sign-in and no server. Nothing you enter, and nothing KetoGen reads from Apple Health, is uploaded anywhere. There is no analytics, crash-reporting or advertising software in the app, and nothing is tracked.

What KetoGen stores on your iPhone

Your body details and the targets worked out from them; your allergies and food preferences; your meal plan, its recipes and your shopping list; which meals you cooked or logged; and your feedback on recipes. This is held in the app's own storage on the device, which is left out of iCloud backups, so it is not copied to iCloud or to any other device.

Apple Health

KetoGen asks for Apple Health access once. You choose each item, and you can change it at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health, or in the Health app under your profile → Privacy. The app works without Health: every field it would fill in can be typed by hand.

What it reads: weight, height, body fat percentage, biological sex, date of birth and Apple exercise minutes. The first five fill in your body details so you don't have to type them, and all of them feed the equation that estimates your daily energy and protein targets. Exercise minutes also help choose which equation is used. KetoGen asks for nothing else.

What it saves: when you log a meal as eaten, KetoGen saves that meal to Health as one food entry, carrying its energy, protein, total fat, total carbohydrate, fibre and sodium. It writes nothing else, and only meals you log.

Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, is never disclosed to anyone without your permission, is never sold to advertising platforms, data brokers or information resellers, and is not stored in iCloud.

Recipes and AI

Recipes for your plan are written on your iPhone by Apple's on-device model. The recipe library that ships inside the app was written with AI during development. Your plan, your preferences and your body details are not sent to any AI service or any other company: the app has no networking at all.

Other companies

KetoGen shares no data with any third party, because it sends no data anywhere. Apple collects its own information about App Store downloads and, if you use TestFlight, about the beta; that is covered by Apple's privacy policy, not this one.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your data stays on your iPhone until you remove it. Deleting the app deletes everything it stored, including your plan, preferences and targets. Meals KetoGen saved to Apple Health stay in Health, because they are yours. The Health app can delete them: open it, go to your profile, and use its app privacy settings, where every app's data can be reviewed and deleted.

Age

KetoGen does not work out energy or protein targets for anyone under 18.
